Red Cross seeks blood

The Northwest Arkansas Naturals are partnering with the American Red Cross on a blood drive in August. An emergency call for blood and platelet donations was issued due to a current shortage.

Each person that donates blood or platelets to the American Red Cross through Aug. 15 will receive a voucher for two free dugout premium tickets to the Naturals’ game on Aug. 22 against the Springfiel­d (Mo.) Cardinals. The voucher will need to be turned into the Arvest Ballpark Box Office in advance

or on the day of the game, when it will be exchanged for the best available seats.

Blood drives will also be held at the following locations:

■ Bentonvill­e: 2-6 p.m. Aug. 15, Walmart, 406 Walton Blvd. and 3-7 p.m. Aug. 28, Harps Food Store, 1209 N. Walton Blvd.

■ Gentry: 1-5 p.m. Aug. 29, McKee Foods Thrift Store, 109 AR-59

■ Rogers: 9 a.m.-2 p.m. Aug. 18, John Q. Hammons Center, 3201 Pinnacle Hills Parkway

■ Oark: 10 a.m.-3 p.m. Aug. 29, Oark Schools, 370 Highway 215

■ Jasper: 10 a.m.-3 p.m. Aug. 30, Jasper High School, 600 School St.

■ Fayettevil­le: 3-7 p.m. Aug. 21, Colton’s Restaurant, 642 E. Millsap Drive; 11 a.m.4 p.m. Aug. 25, Fayettevil­le Auto Park, 1418 W. Showroom Drive; 11 a.m.-3 p.m. Aug. 30 and 31, University of Arkansas, 1106 W. Maple St.
