Red Cross seeks blood

The North­west Arkansas Nat­u­rals are part­ner­ing with the Amer­i­can Red Cross on a blood drive in Au­gust. An emer­gency call for blood and platelet do­na­tions was is­sued due to a cur­rent short­age.

Each per­son that do­nates blood or platelets to the Amer­i­can Red Cross through Aug. 15 will re­ceive a voucher for two free dugout pre­mium tick­ets to the Nat­u­rals’ game on Aug. 22 against the Spring­field (Mo.) Car­di­nals. The voucher will need to be turned into the Ar­vest Ball­park Box Of­fice in ad­vance

or on the day of the game, when it will be ex­changed for the best avail­able seats.

Blood drives will also be held at the fol­low­ing lo­ca­tions:

■ Ben­tonville: 2-6 p.m. Aug. 15, Wal­mart, 406 Wal­ton Blvd. and 3-7 p.m. Aug. 28, Harps Food Store, 1209 N. Wal­ton Blvd.

■ Gen­try: 1-5 p.m. Aug. 29, McKee Foods Thrift Store, 109 AR-59

■ Rogers: 9 a.m.-2 p.m. Aug. 18, John Q. Ham­mons Cen­ter, 3201 Pin­na­cle Hills Park­way

■ Oark: 10 a.m.-3 p.m. Aug. 29, Oark Schools, 370 High­way 215

■ Jasper: 10 a.m.-3 p.m. Aug. 30, Jasper High School, 600 School St.

■ Fayetteville: 3-7 p.m. Aug. 21, Colton’s Res­tau­rant, 642 E. Mill­sap Drive; 11 a.m.4 p.m. Aug. 25, Fayetteville Auto Park, 1418 W. Show­room Drive; 11 a.m.-3 p.m. Aug. 30 and 31, Uni­ver­sity of Arkansas, 1106 W. Maple St.
