Blood Center seeks donors
Current reserves are at three-day levels, except for type O negative, which is at less than a two-day reserve level. All donors, especially type O negative, are urged to give this week. On average, a transfusion takes place every seven minutes, and around 220 donations are needed each day to meet the area’s blood needs.
Community Blood Center of the Ozarks will host blood drives at the following locations:
■ Bella Vista: 10 a.m.2 p.m. Tuesday, St. Bernard Catholic Church, St. Bernard Lane
■ Springdale: 8 a.m.-noon Tuesday, Tyson 412, 2469 W. Sunset Ave.
■ Fayetteville: 10 a.m.4 p.m. Wednesday, Washington County Sheriff’s Office, 1155 Clydesdale Drive; 2:30-5:30 p.m. Wednesday, First Baptist Church, 20 E. Dickson St.
