FAYETTEVIL­LE — Kay

Donnor Phillips, age 65, of Fayettevil­le, died Sunday, Oct. 8, 2017. She was born Sept. 25, 1952, in Little Rock, the daughter of William and Lowell Marie Newcomb Donnor.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Stephen Phillips.

She retired as a special education teacher for the Lincoln School District.

She is survived by a brother, Bill Donnor of Benton, Ark.; a niece, Keeley Selby and her husband Chase of Benton, Ark.; and a nephew, McKinley Donnor of Shanghai, China.

A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, Oct. 14, 2017, at Moore’s Chapel. Burial will be in Fairview Memorial Gardens in Fayettevil­le.

PETTIGREW — Deborah

“Debbie” Engel of Pettigrew passed away Tuesday, Oct. 10, 2017, in Fayettevil­le. She was born March 7, 1955, in Huntington Park, Calif., to Sanford and Ola Jean Watson Gray.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Debbie loved spending time with family and crocheting. She married Danial Engel March 7, 1972.

She is survived by her husband, Danial Engel of the home; a daughter, Missy Engel of Elkins; a son, Tim Engel of Pettigrew; two brothers, Sandy Gray and wife, Marvie of Fayettevil­le and Jimmy Gray and wife, Judy of West Fork; an aunt, Mary Johnson of Bentonvill­e; and numerous cousins.

Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 14, 2017, at Beard’s Chapel with Associate Pastor Joe Lloyd officiatin­g. Interment will follow in Boston Mountain Cemetery under the direction of Beard’s Chapel. The family will receive friends from 5-7 p.m. Friday, Oct. 13, 2017, at the funeral home. Mary Virginia Patterson,

93, of Siloam Springs, passed away Sunday, Oct. 8, 2017, at the Concordia Nursing Home in Bella Vista, Ark.

Mary was born on Dec. 4, 1923, in Springdale, Ark., a daughter of Samuel Loyd Horn and Nettie Mae Kilburn Horn.

She was the widow of the late Clarence Paul Patterson whom she married on Dec. 2, 1963, in Miami, Okla.

She worked for HEHR Internatio­nal making windows and screens. She enjoyed growing flowers in her garden, fishing and doing broomstick crocheting.

She is survived by one daughter, Marie Davis of Gentry, Ark.; three sons, Floyd E. Thompson of Woodston, Kan., Donald F. Thompson of Wichita, Kan., and Clyde D. Thompson of Florida; one stepson, Lonnie Patterson of Newton, Kan.; one sister, Lena Collins of Springdale, Ark.; 19 grandchild­ren and numerous great-grandchild­ren.

She was preceded in death by two sons, Henry and Dennis Thompson, one daughter, Helen Buchanan; one step daughter, Naomi Place; two sisters, Loraine Horn and Alice Freeman; one brother, Loyd Horn and one granddaugh­ter.

Visitation will be held at the Backstrom-Pyeatte Funeral Home in Siloam Springs on Thursday, Oct. 12, 2017, from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m.

Funeral services will be held at the funeral home on Friday, Oct. 13, 2017, at 10 a.m. Pastor Kevin Boldra will officiate the service.

WESLEY — Jerry Dwaine “J.D” Boatright, 47, of Wesley passed away Tuesday, Oct. 10, 2017, at Willard Walker Hospice Home in Fayettevil­le. He was born April 20, 1970, in Huntsville to Jerry Boatright and Joyce Gardner-Boatright. He graduated Farmington High School in 1988. He loved to play golf and was a huge Razorback fan.

He was preceded in death by his brother, Terry Boatright.

Survivors include his two daughters, Morgan Boatright of Farmington and Chasitdy Smith of Colorado Springs, Colo.; sister, Tambrick Fontenot and husband Joe of Fayettevil­le; brother, Dell Bland of Elkins; father, Jerry Boatright and wife Reba of Springdale; mother, Joyce Thurman of Elkins and several other family members and friends.

The family will receive friends Thursday, Oct. 12, 2017, from 6-8 p.m. at Crystal Hills Family Fellowship Church in Elkins. The funeral will be 10 a.m. Friday at the church with Rev. Dean Jones and Rev. Glen Trustee officiatin­g.

Burial will follow at Boatright Cemetery. Come ready to call the Hogs and celebrate JD’S life and wear your Razorback attire.

ALBUQUERQU­E, N.M. — Dorotha Lucille Ball

Kirchner, 83, passed from this life Oct. 3, 2017, in Albuquerqu­e, N.M., at the home of her daughter Lisa Yerington with whom she had been living for 3 years. She was born May 8, 1934, in Goodman, Mo., to Oscar John Ball and Ruby Gail Maxwell Ball as the 5th of six siblings.

Her husband of 52 years, Virgil A. Kirchner, passed in 2003.

Dorotha was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmothe­r and great-grandmothe­r, known for her unconditio­nal love for all.

They lived and raised their children on a beautiful family farm near Nichols, Iowa. She and Virgil were members of the Church of Christ.

Her children are Vicky Bridges and her husband Don in Rogers, Ark.; David Kirchner and his wife Brenda in Rock Island, Ill.; Terry Gibson and her husband Ken in Herndon, Va.; Laura Jackson and her husband David in Fayettevil­le, Ark.; Lisa Yerington and her husband Tim in Albuquerqu­e, N.M. Dorotha was blessed with 11 grandchild­ren living on both coasts, north and south, along with 13 beautiful great-grandchild­ren. She has two living sisters, Juanita Woods and Charlotte Jenson, both in Southeast Iowa.

There will a celebratio­n of Dorotha’s life and a reunion for family and friends back home in Iowa to be announced at a later date.

MCKINNEY, Texas —

Lanora Lelia Stogner, 84, of McKinney Texas died Oct. 7, 2017. She was born Dec. 11, 1932, in Brentwood, Ark., to Wallace and Kathryn Drummond Parnell. She worked in sales for Campbell Bell and Dillards department stores. She was an avid sports fan, following the Razorbacks, Dallas Cowboys and Texas Rangers to name a few. Lanora organized the muscular dystrophy campaign in Joplin, Mo. She was a card-holding member of the Cherokee Nation.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Les Stogner.

She is survived by her son, Dwight Engler of Orange Park, Fla., daughter, Kay Earnhart and son-in-law, Mike of McKinney, Texas, six grandchild­ren and five great-grandchild­ren.

Graveside services will be 2 p.m. Friday, Oct. 13, 2017, at Baptist Ford Cemetery under the direction of Beard’s Funeral Chapel.
