Getting it straight

Northwest Arkansas Democrat-Gazette - - NORTHWEST ARKANSAS -

As a matter of policy, the Northwest Arkansas Democrat-Gazette will publish corrections of errors in fact that have been printed in the newspaper.

The corrections will be made as soon as possible after the error has been brought to the attention of the editor at (479) 872-5168.

The state and the plaintiffs in an ongoing lawsuit over a section of the state’s amended anti-loitering law are seeking a stay of proceedings while the 8th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals considers an appeal of a judge’s preliminary injunction blocking enforcement of the law. Attorneys for both sides aren’t asking that the order itself be stayed, as was incorrectly reported in a story and headline in Thursday’s editions. The state continues to be prohibited from enforcing the law.

Isaac Henry, director of North Little Rock’s Fit 2 Live program, said he plans to run as a Democrat for the state House District 37 seat. Henry’s position in city government was reported incorrectly in a headline in Thursday’s edition.
