Tree sculp­ture

Mark Cald­well, (right) and Tony Kac­zoroski wres­tle a tree sculp­ture made of iron bars into place Mon­day at the Fayet­teville of­fice of Sol­dier On Ser­vice Dogs. The tree sculp­ture is called an Alive Tree and will serve as a sym­bol of life for veter­ans. The tree was made at North­west Tech­ni­cal In­sti­tute in Spring­dale by high school stu­dents and do­nated by the school. Sol­dier On Ser­vice Dogs pro­vides ca­nine com­pan­ion­ship to mil­i­tary veter­ans deal­ing with post trau­matic stress dis­or­der or trau­matic brain in­juries. There will be an un­veil­ing of the sculp­ture at 10 a.m. Wed­nes­day.
