Center Ridge man dies in one-car crash

A man died in a one-vehicle crash Tuesday afternoon, authorities said.

The wreck occurred shortly before 3:30 p.m. on Arkansas 9 north of Center Ridge in Conway County.

Jonathan Nelson, 38, of Center Ridge was traveling north in his Honda when the vehicle traveled off the road, according to a preliminary report. Authorities said the Honda then hit a tree in a ditch.

Nelson suffered fatal injuries. The report did not mention what caused the vehicle to travel off the highway.

State police said the weather was clear and the road was dry at the time of the crash.
