A STAPLE OF THE HOME AND DESIGN SCENE IN BAL HARBOUR, SARA COLOMBO TAKES HER TALENTS TO BRICKELL.

Fans of Sara Colombo’s Nest Casa boutique can now shop for her curated collection of designer gifts and home accessories in Brickell as well as at her popular Bal Harbour Shops showroom.

The globe-trotting former model recently opened a 1,000-squarefoot store on the second level of Brickell City Centre, where she will continue to showcase her core brands of luxury accessories from some of the world’s top designers, such as furniture and decorative objects from Arcahorn, handmade candles from Baobab, braided leather goods by Riviere Italy, signature tableware by Hermès La Table, and crystal by Saint-louis and Baccarat. New product lines include Cire Trudon scented candles and Richard Ginori tableware.

“We wanted to add another location to serve the southern portion of Miami instead of just the north and Bal Harbour,” says Colombo, who founded Nest Casa in 2008. “We are super happy in Bal Harbour, but there is a large population in Miami [that wants to shop closer to home].”

The opening of Brickell City Centre presented an opportunity. “They did a really nice job curating the tenant mix,” Colombo says.

This year, she’s also expanding Nest Casa’s gift registry. “A bridal party can come in, and we do either a catered Champagne cocktail party or breakfast, and they can choose the items for their registry. It’s for all those really special pieces that brides want that maybe they wouldn’t buy for themselves.” nestcasa.com
