…WITHOUT WHOM THIS ISSUE WOULD NOT HAVE BEEN POSSIBLE
John Russo is one of the world’s top celebrity photographers, having shot the likes of George Clooney, Leonardo Dicaprio, Angelina Jolie, and many others. His work has been featured on the covers of Vogue, Elle, and GQ. He is also the author of About Face, a collection of Type 55 portraits of today’s most recognizable male actors. See his work in this issue’s cover story, “The Shirt on His Back,” featuring actor Joe Manganiello. What do you enjoy most about celebrity photography? Creating iconic images that have social immortality. Who are you dying to photograph, and where would you shoot? I’m just finishing up a charity book called 100 Making a Difference that features 100 people who are making a difference in the world. I think taking a trip to Maui to photograph Oprah on her property would be an amazing way to end the book.
