DAR AYNIWEN VILLA HOTEL
Nestled in two hectares in the heart of the Palmeraie of Marrakech, Dar Ayniwen is your chance to experience the very special ambiance of a luxury guesthouse with the services of a five-star hotel. Dar Ayniwen is a space devoted to serenity and wellbeing, and offers exclusivity and tranquility just a few minutes from the Old City of Marrakesh.
Offering the same magical ambiance as the city itself, Dar Ayniwen Villa Hotel is a Sultan’s palace – brightly colored drapes hang heavy over windows, gossamer cloths cover softly lit lamps, lush couches line the hallways, and oriental decor makes one feel as if they have stepped into another world entirely. The grounds house a landscaped garden populated with orange and lemon trees and jasmine that make the very air itself smell like perfume.
The hotel offers a multitude of suites, ranging from the seductive Mucha Suite to the tranquil Suite Collonade. The first of nine suites, the Mucha Suite is a sprawling abode, which the hotel describes as “seductive”. The room is one of the largest they offer and contains a private terrace as well as a bedroom. The terrace is spacious and one can relax on the pristinely white lounge set in the center.
The Galaxy Suite is well known for its grand views. It possesses two terraces overlooking the garden in three directions and is styled with oriental furniture and decor. The Sheherezade Suite is a luxurious experience with a focus on creating a beautiful atmosphere. The room is furnished with antiques, rich fabrics, and a variety of Moorish ornamentation.
For those looking for a little more intimacy and privacy, the Suite Tiwaline 1 is perfectly situated. It lies separate on the grounds from the other suites, but promises the same splendor seen in the other rooms. It has direct access to the gardens for those wishing to
enjoy a leisurely stroll. The Suite Tiwaline 2 is simply a masterpiece. The high ceilings and stone building transports one to another world. This master suite offers a bathroom with bathtub and steam room, a private patio with a Jacuzzi, and easy access to the gardens.
The Dar Ayniwen describes the Suite Collonade as a ‘tiny personal museum of turn of the century styles’. Those interested in history and fashion could hardly find a better place. The Pavilion Romane offers seclusion and an intimate atmosphere with its advantageous location of being hidden from the eyes of other quests. It is situated in an isolated corner of the grounds and possesses its own private garden and Jacuzzi. Lastly, the Pavilion à la Rotonde is built away from the main villa to offer a little more privacy, with a private Jacuzzi for optimal relaxation.
At the Dar Ayniwen, the fine dining restaurant offers a variety of authentic Moroccan dishes ranging from delectable rabbit served with sweet prunes to a wild quail served with pumpkin voulette. The restaurant offers their service anytime, anywhere: you can enjoy a light midnight sorbet by the pool side if you so desire.
The hotel offers a variety of activities and tours accompanied by tourism professionals. Fancy a hot air balloon ride over the countryside, a swift journey to the foothills of the Atlas Mountains, or a horseback or camel desert ride? All of these options can be organized through the hotel if you so desire. Sports fan? The hotel has access to 8 golf courses, tennis courts and an equestrian center. The Dar Ayniwen has anything your heart desires—your personal genie in a bottle.
Things are done a bit differently at the Dar Ayniwen. The hotel provides an oriental spa service called a Hammam, which is a turkish bath similar to Roman baths. The bath begins with relaxation in a steam room, a quick plunge in a refreshingly cool pool, a gentle massage, and finally further relaxation in the steam room. The Hammam is a true experience that shouldn’t be missed.
