STAY

Maryanne Loum-martin designed and created the wonderful Jnane Marrakech hotel with the goal of creating an oasis atmosphere, one that reflected her own tranquil and immutable personal experiences of Marrakech. If you’re looking for a unique getaway, the Jnana Marrakech is the perfect hotel spread over a nine acre private estate with ensuite bedrooms on three properties.

The Jnane House is a traditional “Ryad” or courtyard house. There are two courtyards and a total of ten bedrooms spanning two levels. The first level grants easy access to the gardens and pools and offers a dining room as well. There’s a private atmosphere that comes from the separation from the other two houses and courtyards.

The Jnane Mousaffi is a themed experience. Based on Islamic art and design, the five suites are African, Casablan- ca, Calligraphy, Persian, and Indian. Each of the suites possesses special touches like a fireplace and walk-in closets and provide verandas overlooking the garden as well as a roof terrace for star-gazing.

The Jnane Villa is nestled amongst its own private Mediterranean gardens that have an abundance of olive and lavender trees. The Villa offers an open fireplace, dining room, an airy breakfast room, and a living area with a library and veranda as well as an outdoor dining area.

DINE

The Jnane Tamnsa hotel is unique amongst other establishments of Marrakech as it is one of the few places that offer classes on Moroccan cooking. Featuring vegetables from their garden and spices from the nearby Medina, internationally known Chef Bahija sharess her passion for Moroccan cuisine with her eager students. During your stay at the Jnane, you should take the three day program with Chef Bahiia to get the full Moroccan cooking experience.

PLAY

The Jnane Hotel’s goal and philosophy includes indoctrinating their guests completely in the Moroccan culture and have created a series of activities and events that accomplishes just this. Camel and bike rides in nearby mountains are easily scheduled, and yoga classes are offered in the gardens on a regular basis. Swimming pools and tennis courts are within walking distance, and their popular cooking classes are always a must.
