Sara Turknett Har­ris, 86 of Win­ter Gar­den, FL, passed away peace­fully on Septem­ber 21, 2018. Sara was born in Jack­sonville, FL on May 26, 1932. She wed her beloved hus­band Jack in April 1952. She loved be­ing an ac­tive mem­ber of Com­mu­nity Faith United Methodist Church. Her faith and de­vo­tion to Christ was most ev­i­dent in her love and care for her fam­ily and friends. Sara was an avid gar­dener, cook, and vol­un­teered in el­e­men­tary schools. Wher­ever she lived, Sara made her house a lov­ing home for her fam­ily. She is pre­ceded in death by her par­ents, two broth­ers, two sis­ters, and her hus­band of 62 years, Jack. She is sur­vived by her chil­dren John (Kathy) of Or­lando, FL, David (Terri) of Mel­bourne, FL, Shel­ley Faubel (Jim) of Gainesville, FL, and Gary (Midgalia) of St. Cloud, FL, eleven grand­chil­dren, and 10 great-grand­chil­dren. A memo­rial ser­vice to cel­e­brate Sara’s life will be held Satur­day, Novem­ber 3, 2018, 2:00 pm, at Com­mu­nity Faith United Methodist Church, 9120 Teacher Lane, Daven­port, FL, 33897. A re­cep­tion will fol­low the ser­vice at the Vista del Lago club­house lo­cated at Vista del Lago Blvd., Win­ter Gar­den, FL, 34787. In lieu of flow­ers a do­na­tion to Com­mu­nity of Faith United Methodist Church is ap­pre­ci­ated. of of
