Man sen­tenced to life for fa­tal stab­bings

BAR­TOW — A Florida man has been sen­tenced to life in prison for the fa­tal stab­bings of two women dur­ing a crime spree.

The Ledger re­ports that 33-year-old Ter­rell Wil­liams was sen­tenced af­ter ju­rors found him guilty Thurs­day of two counts of first-de­gree mur­der.

Au­thor­i­ties say Wil­liams, Devonere McCune, Michael Gor­don and Jo­van Lamb robbed an Auburn­dale pawn shop in Jan­uary 2015. McCune was ar­rested fol­low­ing a shootout with po­lice in nearby Haines City.

Fol­low­ing a 911 call, deputies re­sponded to a nearby home and found the bod­ies of 72-year-old Pa­tri­cia Mo­ran, and her daugh­ter, 51-year-old Deb­o­rah Royal.

Au­thor­i­ties say Wil­liams, Gor­don and Lamb were ar­rested af­ter try­ing to flee in the vic­tims' car. In­ves­ti­ga­tors be­lieve Gor­don killed the women.
