UCF in CFP? It’s all about perfection
The most insane propositions have become plausible this college football season. Lane Kiffin has more wins than the combined total of FSU’s Jimbo Fisher and UF’s two coaches.
Florida has had almost as many head coaches as wins.
And for the truly nutso, consider that UCF could make the College Football Playoff. Not a New Year’s Six bowl. We’re talking about the Big Kahuna four-team playoff.
And we’ll pause now to let the CFP Selection Committee try to find UCF on its map.
It’s obvious that the elite Football Swamp doesn’t want an upstart like UCF to crash its biggest party.
Sure, it awards an automatic COMMENTARY New Year’s Six bid to the top mid-major team. That’s basically giving it a pat on the head and saying, “Now run along to the Peach Bowl and let us big boys tend to serious business.”
Not that UCF would sneer at a New Year’s Six bowl. It’s just that after this past weekend, mentioning the CFP is not
Dredrick Snelson (5), Marlon Williams and the UCF Knights are 3 wins away from capturing the AAC title and unbeaten regular season.
