Re­ward up to $5K for ar­rest in crime spree

The re­ward for in­for­ma­tion lead­ing to an ar­rest of a man who went on a crime spree through­out Orange County has in­creased to $5,000. The spree started March 31, when the man robbed and pis­tol-whipped an em­ployee at a Dunkin Donuts on Orange Av­enue, po­lice say. It con­tin­ued the next day, when he tried to rob and shot a man twice at a SunTrust Bank in Win­ter Gar­den. He then car­jacked some­one at a nearby busi­ness, ac­cord­ing to Win­ter Gar­den Po­lice. The man struck again on April 4, when he car­jacked a woman out­side Petco at 2410 E. Colo­nial Drive, Or­lando Po­lice said. He then drove the stolen car and robbed a Wal­greens at Sand Lake Road and Orange Blos­som Trail, au­thor­i­ties said. The sus­pect hit the em­ployee in the head with the muz­zle of the firearm, then fired two rounds be­tween two em­ploy­ees’ heads, ac­cord­ing to Orange County Sher­iff ’s Of­fice.
