Reward up to $5K for arrest in crime spree
The reward for information leading to an arrest of a man who went on a crime spree throughout Orange County has increased to $5,000. The spree started March 31, when the man robbed and pistol-whipped an employee at a Dunkin Donuts on Orange Avenue, police say. It continued the next day, when he tried to rob and shot a man twice at a SunTrust Bank in Winter Garden. He then carjacked someone at a nearby business, according to Winter Garden Police. The man struck again on April 4, when he carjacked a woman outside Petco at 2410 E. Colonial Drive, Orlando Police said. He then drove the stolen car and robbed a Walgreens at Sand Lake Road and Orange Blossom Trail, authorities said. The suspect hit the employee in the head with the muzzle of the firearm, then fired two rounds between two employees’ heads, according to Orange County Sheriff ’s Office.
