PINK AND WHITE BEAUTY

-

Almond blossoms begin to bloom Saturday on trees on the Brad Freeman Trail in Oroville. Almonds were the No. 3 valued product in the 2019 Butte County Crop Report, worth more than $140 million. The trees typically bloom in February and March and, after bees pollinate the flowers, produce fruit called drupes that split open in July and August.
