Re­mem­ber — per­fect prac­tice makes per­fect! A smooth, con­trolled path up to the bar and down again is your aim. As­sume your grip on the bar and hang un­der­neath with your legs straight or knees bent and crossed be­hind you. Draw your shoul­der blades to­gether and drive your el­bows down to pull your chin up over the bar. Slowly lower your­self back to the start and re­peat.
