Palm Beach Daily News - - OPINION - By CONNER MITCHELL

The sinkhole outside of President Donald Trump’s Mar-a-Lago has been repaired and traffic now is flowing as usual on Southern Boulevard near the club’s entrance.

Repairs to the 16square-foot hole that opened Monday required digging with an excavator until the hole was about 10 feet wide and several feet deep and then fixing the 7-to-8-foot-long section of stormwater pipe that had collapsed about 5 feet un- derground, officials said.

The repairs were finished Wednesday and were not affected by heavy rain Wednesday night, West Palm Beach city administrator Jeff Green said Thursday.

The pipe was installed more than 10 years ago and belongs to the town of Palm Beach, though Green said West Palm Beach is contracted to repair and maintain the pipe. Green said the Florida Department of Transportation also is working with crews.
