Board still unsatisfied with lakefront house design
Members: Venetian-style home still too large for Estate Section lot.
Five times an architect has presented plans to the Architectural Commission for a Venetian-style house to be built on a lakefront lot at 235 Via Vizcaya.
And five times the board has demanded changes to those plans, repeatedly admonishing the design team that if built, the two-story house would be too large for the irregularly shaped lot — resembling a truncated slice of pie — in the Estate Section. The lot measures about a third of an acre.
