Meet­ings resched­uled af­ter hur­ri­cane

A bit of nor­malcy has re­turned to the island as town meet­ings have be­gun to be resched­uled fol­low­ing Hur­ri­cane Irma.

The Town Coun­cil meet­ing orig­i­nally set for Sept. 12 will be­gin at 9:30 a.m. Tues­day at Town Hall. The un­der­ground util­i­ties project and coastal con­di­tions are among the items on the agenda.

The monthly de­vel­op­ment re­view meet­ing for this month has been can­celed.

The first pub­lic hear­ing on the up­com­ing year’s bud­get also has been moved to Tues­day and will be­gin at 5 p.m.

The Palm Beach Cham­ber of Com­merce meet­ing will stay on sched­ule with its open­ing event of the sea­son be­gin­ning at 8 a.m. Tues­day at The Break­ers. Mary Kis­sel, a Wall Street Jour­nal ed­i­to­rial board mem­ber, will speak.
