Tips from Aija Mayrock’s book ‘The Survival Guide to Bullying’
Repeat this three times a day: There is nothing wrong with me.
Find someone you trust and feel good around. Tell him or her what is going on with you and see what advice is offered.
Do one thing that you love every single day.
Develop “battle plans” for avoiding bullies.
Don’t bully yourself. Be proud of yourself.
Find something you’re interested in and become a pro at it.
When you feel lonely, remind yourself that this is temporary.
Expand your social horizons by exploring new places where kids your age hang out, such coffee shops, malls or community clubs.
Talk to a friend, family member or someone you care about for a half hour every day about whatever you want.
If you’re being bullied on social media, try going dark for a few months. Delete your accounts on websites that may lead to bad situations.
