Signature steak discounts to continue through Nov. 19.

When it comes to the acclaimed steaks at Meat Market Palm Beach, any number of high-praise buzzwords — from succulent to sexy — have been associated with them. Now add this one: bargain.

What has usually been a May-September dining deal since Meat Market opened in Palm Beach in 2014 (its flagship Miami location dates to 2009) has been quietly extended.

Signature Steak Sunday — half-priced steaks on Sundays that are denoted as “signature” on the menu — now is slated to continue through Nov. 19.

What does that mean in dollars at Meat Market? You can now enjoy, depending on the size, a filet mignon or Prime Chicago New York strip on Sunday nights for less than $15.

Normally, “signature” steaks at Meat Market range in price from around $24 to $58, with cuts sized at around 6 to 16 ounces. They include strips, filets mignons, rib eyes and more, not to mention executive chef Sean Brasel’s current favorite: the picanha.

That’s a cut that’s prized in beef-loving Brazil; in this country, it’s sometimes referred to as the sirloin cap or coulotte, among other things. During Signature Steak Sunday at Meat Market, a 16-ounce picanha (normally $47) is around $23; a cut around half that size (normally priced at $24) is $12 on Sundays.

Says Brasel, “My favorite steak on the signature menu (section) is the 16-ounce Prime picanha with habanero chimichurri. It’s such a beautiful piece of meat. And pairing it with the Meat Market truffle butter is simply heavenly.”
