Here are the rec­om­men­da­tions from Alta Plan­ning + De­sign:

Nine­teen miles of en­hanced streetscape, in­clud­ing plant­ing trees to pro­vide shaded walk­ways.

Cre­ate a com­plete and con­nected high-qual­ity, low-stress bike­way net­work.

Two ex­ist­ing miles plus 15 pro­posed new miles for 17 miles of bike­ways, which would re­sult in 600 per­cent in­crease in bike­way net­work.

Forty-five per­cent of streets with bike­ways in down­town.

Thirty per­cent of streets with tran­sit ac­cess im­prove­ments down­town.

Po­ten­tial ded­i­cated bus lane on

Okee­chobee Boule­vard.

En­hance routes within down­town. En­hance and ex­tend routes out of down­town to ad­ja­cent neigh­bor­hoods and park-and-ride lots.

Sup­port park-once con­cept for down­town streets.

Im­prove safety of streets for all users. In­crease route op­tions in down­town, par­tic­u­larly east-west op­tions.

Fifty-two per­cent of streets to ex­pe­ri­ence im­prove­ments down­town (17 miles of projects).

Con­vert one-way to two-way streets. Cre­ate shared spa­ces for more bike lanes and green spa­ces.
