John David Corey of Palm Beach and Miguel Ros­ales of Bos­ton an­nounce their en­gage­ment.

Mr. Corey is the son of Don­ald and Mar­cia Corey of Bos­ton and Naples.

Mr. Ros­ales is the son of Lidia Ma­rina de Ros­ales of Gu­atemala City and the late Marco An­to­nio Ros­ales.

Bride­groom-to-be Corey is a na­tive of Bos­ton and earned a bach­e­lor’s de­gree from Bos­ton Col­lege and a mas­ter’s de­gree in real es­tate and ur­ban de­sign from the School of Ar­chi­tec­ture at the Mas­sachusetts In­sti­tute of Tech­nol­ogy.

He owns Bos­ton In­vest­ment & Devel­op­ment, a firm spe­cial­iz­ing in real es­tate in­ter­ests in Bos­ton and Palm Beach. He is a board mem­ber of the Bea­con Hill Civic Association and the Ar­chi­tec­tural Com­mis­sion.

Bride­groom-to-be Ros­ales is a na­tive of Gu­atemala City with a bach­e­lor’s de­gree from Univer­si­dad Fran­cisco Mar­ro­quin and a mas­ter’s de­gree in real es­tate and ur­ban de­sign from the School of Ar­chi­tec­ture at the Mas­sachusetts In­sti­tute of Tech­nol­ogy.

He owns Ros­ales + Part­ners, a com­pany spe­cial­iz­ing in the de­sign of land­mark bridges in the United States and abroad.

He was the lead ar­chi­tect and de­signer of sev­eral noted land­mark bridges in­clud­ing the Leonard P.

Zakim Bunker Hill Memo­rial Bridge in Bos­ton, the Lib­erty Bridge in Greenville, S.C., and the Puente Cen­te­nario over the Panama Canal. He is a board mem­ber of the Bea­con Hill Gar­den Club and the Bea­con Hill Ar­chi­tec­tural Com­mis­sion.

The en­gage­ment took place on May 15, 2017, at the famous Ta­ble 40 of the Parker House Restau­rant in Bos­ton.

The wed­ding cer­e­mony and re­cep­tion will take place early next year at The Break­ers fol­lowed by a hon­ey­moon in Buenos Aires.
