Summer construction continues
Planned construction projects and traffic alerts from the Town of Palm Beach for the week starting Monday:
Southern Boulevard Bridge: Construction continues. For more information about the project, contact Angel Gardner at 886-8773 or by email at Angel@valerin-group.com.
Undergrounding: Pavement repairs are scheduled on East Inlet Drive. One lane of traffic will be maintained. Boring of a Comcast line is slated along North Ocean Boulevard from Arabian Road to Indian Road.
Conduit and wiring work along Sloan’s Curve will also lead to lane closures.
Florida Public Utilities gas line replacements: Installation of gas service connections and road restoration will take place on East Inlet Drive and Indian Road between Lake Court and North Ocean Way.
Royal Palm Way irrigation improvements: Work continues through the end of the month in the medians on Royal Palm Way from the Royal Park Bridge to South Ocean Boulevard. No lane closures are anticipated.
Recreation Center demolition and construction: Be aware of large trucks leaving the site loaded with debris and traveling on westbound Royal Palm Way. Street light installation: Florida Power & Light Co. contractors will be installing street lights on South Ocean Boulevard from Sloan’s Curve south to Lake Avenue. Work is expected to be completed by mid-September. The contractor will periodically close the southbound lane of South Ocean Boulevard.
Signal work: At Cocoanut Row and Clarke Avenue and Bradley Place and Sunrise Avenue, a contractor will perform exploratory digs. Starting Wednesday, the west end of Clarke Avenue will be closed to through traffic for the foundation installation. On Thursday, a lane of Bradley Place at Sunrise Avenue will be closed.
Street light painting: Work will be done in the 100 block of Worth Avenue, South County Road between Peruvian and Worth Avenues, and the 100 block of Sunset Avenue.
Ficus canopy: Work will run Wednesday through Friday on North County Road.
FPL’s Royal Poinciana Way work: Florida Power & Light Co. continues to install a conduit near the Flagler Memorial Bridge. One eastbound lane of traffic may be closed on the bridge. The sidewalk on the south side is closed.
Pump station: Through Friday, there will be a lane closure at Barton Avenue and Flagler Drive by Murray Logan Construction for the Town of Palm Beach Public Works Department. The work consists of utility work and paving for the A-4 Pump Station Abandonment Project.
