Buy cake from TooJay’s to help com­bat hunger

For ev­ery slice of cake sold in Septem­ber at its 28 Florida lo­ca­tions, TooJay’s will do­nate $1 to Feed­ing Florida, the com­pany an­nounced.

In Palm Beach, the gourmet deli restau­rant is in Royal Poin­ciana Plaza.

TooJay’s first launched a part­ner­ship with Feed­ing Florida in Septem­ber 2017 and has raised and do­nated more than $18,000 to the or­ga­ni­za­tion, ac­cord­ing to the restau­rant.

Feed­ing Florida, for­merly the Florida As­so­ci­a­tion of Food Banks, in­cludes a net­work of 14 mem­ber food banks and helps pro­vide food to mil­lions of Florid­i­ans fac­ing hunger, ac­cord­ing to Feed­ing Florida’s web­site.

At TooJay’s, the Septem­ber cake-slice pro­gram ben­e­fit­ing Feed­ing Florida ap­plies to all kinds of cake the restau­rant of­fers.

Va­ri­eties range from co­conut to Ba­nana Dream and choco­late layer.

Guests who pur­chase a slice of cake this month also can make do­na­tions by round­ing up the amount of their checks.

TooJay’s will do­nate up to $10,000 dur­ing the month-long cam­paign.
