Here’s what arts groups hope train­ing will help them ac­com­plish

Ten Palm Beach County cul­tural groups will par­tic­i­pate in the Cul­tural Coun­cil of Palm Beach County’s free year­long Arts Ac­cel­er­a­tor pro­gram.

Led by the DeVos In­sti­tute of Arts Man­age­ment at the Univer­sity of Mary­land, the pro­gram is de­signed to pre­pare them to con­duct suc­cess­ful cat­alytic fundrais­ing cam­paigns and at­tract new in­vest­ment.

Th­ese are the plans the or­ga­ni­za­tions will work on dur­ing the train­ing:

Ann Nor­ton Sculp­ture Gar­dens: Con­struct addi- tional in­door class­room and event space. Pre­serve the land­marked house and artist’s stu­dio. Ex­pand pro­gram­ming. Cam­paign goal: yet to be de­ter­mined.

Boca Bal­let Theatre: Ac­quire a per­ma­nent home and the­ater. Build en­dow­ment. De­velop a mem­ber­ship pro­gram. Cam­paign goal: yet to be de­ter­mined.

Boca Ra­ton Mu­seum of Art: Add sec­ondary en­trance and cafe, move store con­tigu­ous to Mizner Park stores, ren­o­vate lobby, up­date se­cu­rity cam­eras, re­car­pet sec­ond-floor gal­leries, up­grade gal­leries for mul­ti­ple uses. Cam­paign goal: $3 mil­lion.

Cen­ter for Cre­ative Ed­u­ca­tion: Build en­dow­ment. Cam­paign goal: $5 mil­lion.

His­tor­i­cal So­ci­ety of Palm Beach County: Reimag­ine the Richard and Pat John­son Palm Beach County His­tory Mu­seum’s per­ma­nent ex­hi­bi­tion gal­leries. Ac­quire an off-site lo­ca­tion for col­lec­tion stor­age that also might house of­fices as well as ex­hi­bi­tion build­ing and con­ser­va­tion fa­cil­i­ties. Pos­si­bly add to en­dow­ment. Cam­paign goal: $7.5-$10 mil­lion.

Loggerhead Marinelife Cen­ter: En­large sea tur­tle hos­pi­tal, re­search lab­o­ra­tory and store. Build class­rooms, au­di­to­rium, am­phithe­ater with sea tur­tle tank, wel­come cen­ter and cafe as well as ex­hibit, event and op­er­a­tions spa­ces. Cam­paign goal: $14 mil­lion. Raised so far: more than $9 mil­lion.

Lox­a­hatchee River His- tor­i­cal So­ci­ety (op­er­ates the Jupiter In­let Light­house and Mu­seum): Con­struct her­itage cen­ter with in­door class­rooms, ex­hibit space, dis­cov­ery labs, au­di­to­rium and re­strooms.

Build out­door class­room pavil­ion and a replica of the first U.S. Weather Bureau Sta­tion. Cam­paign goal: more than $20 mil­lion.

Maltz Jupiter Theatre: Ex­pand stage to Broad­way size, add 199-seat flex­i­ble per­for­mance space, dou­ble size of con­ser­va­tory, ex­pand re­hearsal and pro­duc­tion fa­cil­i­ties, add 40-seat cafe, re­design park­ing lot.

Cam­paign goal:

$32-$36 mil­lion. Raised so far: $13 mil­lion.

South Florida Sci­ence Cen­ter and Aquar­ium: En­large the aquar­ium, add sec­ond floor for a nat­u­ral Florida dis­play, ex­pand and up­grade the Elsie Dekel­boum The­ater, cre­ate lobby event space.

Build a sig­na­ture five-story tower to house ro­bot­ics, chil­dren’s and hands-on ex­hibits; class­rooms; of­fices; and a rooftop but­ter­fly gar­den and event space. Cam­paign goal: $35 mil­lion.

Young Singers of the Palm Beaches: Grow en­dow­ment. Cam­paign goal: yet to be de­ter­mined.
