Reading other people’s mail was never so much fun
One way to keep theater production costs down is to choose a well-written play that requires nothing more than two actors, a couple of chairs, some paper and envelopes, and a lot of heart. Such is the case with A.R. Gurney’s Love Letters, which has, over the past 20-some years, attracted such actors as Kathleen Turner, Marsha Mason, Timothy Hutton, Christopher Reeve, and others. Santa Fe theater vets Bill Verderber and AlainaWarren Zachary — who appeared in the 2009 Santa Fe Playhouse production of The Lion in Winter— read the letters at 4 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 14, at CollectedWorks Bookstore, 202 Galisteo St., 988-4226. There is no charge for the event.
