The Short Order

Pasatiempo - - Restaurant Review -

Since 1948, The Pantry has been a haven for locals and visitors seeking a generously portioned, affordable daytime meal served with an authentic smile in a no-frills comfort-food atmosphere. Regional dishes share menu space with more classic diner fare, and a good breakfast can be had any time of the day. Now open for dinner, too, The Pantry continues its tradition of fantastic home-style cooking, although coffee service and the over-dressing of salads could use some attention. Recommended: the Pantry’s signature Fish Fry Platter and meatloaf, stuffed French toast, and huevos rancheros smothered in the restaurant’s delicious red and green chile sauces.
