Inspiration is an essential part of the lives and artwork of the 15 children and young adults undergoing oncology treatment at the University of New Mexico’s Children’s Hospital. IMAGINE, sponsored by the Imagine Forward organization, is an inaugural art exhibition at Hahn Ross Gallery that features recent artworks created by these youngsters. In April, they gathered at an all-day workshop sponsored by the Sunshine Kids Foundation, a nonprofit that provides support and positive activities for children with cancer. Alongside their works is art by nine professional artisan volunteers.

A percentage of every sale at Hahn Ross on the evening of the benefit goes to the UNM Children’s Hospital and to future Imagine Forward/Sunshine Kids art workshops. The reception and exhibition are held from 5:30 to 7 p.m. Friday, June 11, at 409 Canyon Road. Call 470-7932 for information.
