gods of the 30-year-old new wave of Bri­tish heavy metal, hit the friendly skies re­cently to kick off a world tour in sup­port of their 15th stu­dio al­bum, The Fi­nal Fron­tier (set for re­lease this sum­mer). It isn’t clear whether lead singer/com­mer­cial air­line pi­lot Bruce Dick­in­son will fly his band­mates around in “Ed Force One,” Maiden’s cus­tom-de­signed Boe­ing 757-200, but prog-metal main­stays Dream Theater are con­firmed as tour open­ers for Maiden’s U.S. and Canada dates. Catch them both at 7:30 p.m.
