If it’s Wednesday, it must be salon time
The Sept. 1, edition of Photo-eye Gallery’s first-Wednesday salon boasts great variety in its trio of featured artists. Portrait specialist Gay Block shows Bertha
Alyce: Mother exPosed, a photographic and video project about her mother made over a 30-year period. Will Wilson offers prints from his ongoing Auto
Immune Response series, in which he explores environmental and emotional issues. And Krista Elrick, who has focused on photographs of migrating birds, exhibits images she took in places where John James Audubon once painted, and hunted, birds.
The event begins with a reception for the photographers at 6:30 p.m., followed by the salon, which lasts until 9 p.m. Photo-eye is at 376-A Garcia St. Call 988-5152, Ext. 112, for details. There is no charge to attend.
