The Short Order

Pasatiempo - - Restaurant Review -

A casual New Mexican-food mainstay in downtown Santa Fe, Tia Sophia’s has appeased (and created) chile heads and satisfied regional-comfort-food cravings of locals and visitors for more than 30 years. A busy-but-friendly service staff usually attends to customer needs without a hitch, but when the kitchen slips up and servers make excuses for it, the dining experience suffers. Recommended: guacamole omelet and the Saturday-morning special: a chorizo burrito smothered in your choice of red or green chile sauce and cheddar cheese.

Ratings range from 0 to 4 chiles. This reflects the reviewer’s experience with regard to food and drink, atmosphere, service, and value.
