Something to think about: music by Barber, Bunch & Dvoˇrák
Four of the regular musicians in the chamber consortium Serenata of Santa Fe — violinist/violist David Felberg, cellist Sally Guenther, hornist Scott Temple, and pianist Debra Ayers — offer a program comprising Barber’s Cello Sonata, Kenji Bunch’s Common Tones , and Dvoˇrák’s G-minor Piano Trio. The last is a rather meditative work the composer wrote in the aftermath of the death of a daughter who lived only two days. The program takes place at 3 p.m. on Sunday, Feb. 8, at First Presbyterian Church (208 Grant Ave.). Tickets ($15 to $30, with discounts available) can be obtained through Tickets Santa Fe at the Lensic (505-988-1234, www.ticketssantafe.org). — J.M.K.
