Santa Fe Sym­phony’s Beethoven fest; The Hat at Santa Fe Play­house; Cuar­teto Lati­noamer­i­cano; and I Do, I Do, Too-Doo at Teatro Paraguas Stu­dio

Michael But­ter­man is al­ready mu­sic direc­tor of the Boul­der Phil­har­monic, the Shreve­port Sym­phony, and the newly formed Penn­syl­va­nia Phil­har­monic, an itin­er­ant orches­tra that per­forms through­out that state, mostly in schools. Ap­par­ently he is up for adding an­other ar­row to his quiver. Dur­ing this sea­son, in which the Santa Fe Sym­phony con­sid­ers con­tenders for its next prin­ci­pal con­duc­tor, he will as­cend the podium at the Lensic Per­form­ing Arts Cen­ter (211 W. San Fran­cisco St.) to con­duct the en­sem­ble in an all-Beethoven pro­gram com­pris­ing the Sym­phonies No. 2 and No. 6 plus the Pi­ano Con­certo No. 2 (with Sean Chen as soloist).
