Springtime changes our landscape as burgeoning roots shift the dirt and rainfall erodes the ground here, deposits seeds there. With this week’s aspects, interesting new connections bud quickly, positive publicity blossoms easily, and resources gather when we have a clear plan and get on a roll.

We may not always like the new terrain: Neighboring expansion can crowd us out. Businesses and people will begin to relocate resources, pruning positions or relationships that may remain worthy but aren’t part of new growth. We dislike being uprooted, but new situations just might offer more sunshine and fertile ground.

The weekend begins under a determined Capricorn moon, which can encourage excitement when we dig into work and frustration when unusual circumstances get in the way of progress. Emotional Venus enters versatile Gemini this weekend, bringing a lighthearted quality to help us adapt.

Early next week, just before tax time, Mercury enters earthy Taurus and Venus opposes pragmatic Saturn, helping us focus on our duties. Responsibilities and budgets may get in the way of pleasure, but we have support for what must be done — whether that’s updating our resume or finishing an important project.

Friday, April 10: This potentially unfriendly day can be productive if we stay away from conflict as the industrious Capricorn moon trines energizing Mars. Momentum builds: Let’s make sure it’s in a good direction. People need encouragement to let go of work tonight. Saturday, April 11: After haunting dreams this morning, we can get caught up in our plans and miss an opportunity to connect. Every family member wants to head off in a different direction. Disagreements sprout easily if we lose our humor or get stiff-necked. New strands weave into the conversation as Venus enters Gemini this afternoon, leavening an otherwise heavy day. Sunday, April 12: Minor communication glitches aren’t personal this morning as the moon squares cerebral Mercury — have faith that the coffee will kick in. We’re positively gregarious around noon, as the moon enters Aquarius and trines Venus. Play with your words, and don’t underestimate the healing power of friendliness. Monday, April 13: Cranky edges increase our clumsiness this morning as the moon squares Mars, but the mood levels out later. Avoid introspection; it’s a great day to get the word out. The afternoon may be aimlessly active — enjoy the journey and don’t worry about the goal. Tuesday, April 14: The moon enters receptive Pisces and heightens our sensitivities, just as Mercury enters grounded Taurus and centers us. We focus best in short bursts — taxes and tasks can cramp our style. Our nerves resonate and can test relationships as the moon, Venus, and Saturn square off in high-strung mutable signs later on. Practice patience. Wednesday, April 15: Ideally, taxes are already done and sent in. We are best suited for serious work, as the moon conjuncts Neptune in Pisces. Have a good cry, then take an inventive approach. Our psychic boundaries are permeable — if strange feelings arise, look around for their source. Tonight, if an old pain returns, find a way to heal it. Thursday, April 16: We may feel out of sync this morning, so let everyone bump along to their own rhythm. Be respectful of boundaries; good relationship habits help when we’re feeling this overwhelmed. The energy shifts midday — we’ll be more impatient as the moon enters activated Aries. As we switch into higher gear we may disagree about priorities.
