A neck­lace con­nects 27 women across years and geog­ra­phy in String of Pearls , a play writ­ten by Michele Lowe. The night be­fore Amy’s wed­ding, her grand­mother asks her about a string of pearls she once gave to her mother, and this con­ceit sets off a se­ries of flash­back vignettes that take the au­di­ence on a 35-year jour­ney, in­clud­ing an oceanic trip in the belly of a fish, to find out where the pearls came from and where they have gone. Usu­ally cast with four women in ro­tat­ing parts, eight stu­dents from the Santa Fe Uni­ver­sity of Art and De­sign fill roles in a pro­duc­tion di­rected by ad­junct in­struc­tor Acushla astible, staged in the round in the by of the Greer Gar­son Theatre 00 St. Michael’s Drive). The ab­sur­dist edy con­tains adult themes. for­mances of the play are at p.m. on Fri­day, April 10, nd Satur­day, April 11, and at 2 p.m. on Sun­day, April 12.
