Mon­roe Gallery of Photography, 112 Don Gas­par Ave., 505-992-0800 Mar­garet Bourke-White’s black-and-white photography cap­tures en­dur­ing mo­ments of the 20th cen­tury, in­clud­ing the lib­er­a­tion of Ger­many’s con­cen­tra­tion camps, the Dust Bowl, the civil rights move­ment, and Ma­hatma Gandhi’s in­de­pen­dence move­ment in In­dia. Bourke-White, a pho­tog­ra­pher for Life mag­a­zine, was Amer­ica’s first fe­male war pho­to­jour­nal­ist. The ex­hibit Mar­garet Bourke-White: Pi­o­neer­ing Pho­to­jour­nal­ist opens Fri­day, April 24, with a 5 p.m. re­cep­tion.
