Mem­bers of the Santa Fe Sym­phony Orches­tra and Cho­rus of­fer a Me­mo­rial Day salute to per­sons who ave served in the armed or­ces. An in­stru­men­tal en­sem­ble will per­form Pal­la­dio,” a con­certo rosso by Karl Jenk­ins, the first move­ment of which gained wide­spread fame as the neo-Vi­val­dian sound­track for a De Beers di­a­mond com­mer­cial in 1993. Three choral works round out the pro­gram: Laura Far­nell’s “We Shall Not Sleep,” Gabriel Fauré’s sooth­ing “Can­tique de Jean Racine,” and Vivaldi’s ever-popular “Glo­ria.” Linda Raney con­ducts. No tick­ets are re­quired for this pay-what-you-wish con­cert. The event takes place at 7 p.m. on Thurs­day, May 28 (doors open at 6:30 p.m.) at the Cathe­dral Basil­ica of St. Fran­cis of As­sisi (131 Cathe­dral Place).
