The Short Order
A legendary spot on Canyon Road that dates back to the early 1960s, El Farol has a distinctive front patio, a famous bar, and a rambling, close-quarters interior that opens onto a roomy patio out back. It’s a ramshackle sort of place, but don’t be fooled: You can spend a lot here on lunch and dinner. Unfortunately, the quality of what you get doesn’t always match the prices. Recommended: aguacate and churros con chocolate.
