Lay­ing it bare: Naked Ro­mance

Davida Singer, a New York City-based poet and per­for­mance artist, joins com­poser and pi­anist John Ran­gel of Santa Fe for the New Mexico pre­miere of Naked Ro­mance: A Fu­sion of Live Po­etry and Mu­sic on Fri­day, July 10, at 7:30 p.m., at Gig Per­for­mance Space (1808 Sec­ond St.). Singer’s latest book of po­ems, naked ro­mance and then

some (Aldrich Press, 2015), ex­plores the de­sire for ro­mance in the mod­ern world in a se­ries of iso­lated mo­ments. The po­ems are set to orig­i­nal mu­sic by Ran­gel, and in this per­for­mance the pair is joined by bass player Andy Zadrozny and other guests. The per­for­mance is fol­lowed by a book sign­ing with Singer. Tick­ets are $20 at the door. Visit — J.L.
