Merry-making with Humming House
Nashville pop-bluegrass quintet Humming House brings muscular melodies to the Santa Fe Bandstand on Tuesday, July 14, at 7:15 p.m. The music is rich with old-timey tradition — there’s plenty of mandolin — but tight, layered, and upbeat in keeping with current indie-rock trends. “Great Divide,” a track from the group’s sophomore album, Revelries, which dropped in March, is currently attracting critical attention and seems tailor-made to land the band an iTunes commercial. Hear the band for free on the Plaza before it breaks through to the mainstream. For information, visit www.santafebandstand.org. — J.L.
