The eclectic country/bluegrass musician Jean-Luc Leroux leads a musical ensemble at Zia Diner (326 S. Guadalupe St. 505-988-7008) on Wednesday, Aug. 12, at 6 p.m. Leroux is a Parisian now living most of the year in New Caledonia, and an occasional visitor to Santa Fe. He specializes in classic bluegrass and his own compositions sung mostly in French. Leroux performs at Zia with several local musicians — Dave Devlin, Dave Dillman, Sid Hausman, Doug Jeffords, and Dave Kuncicky — who frequent the diner as part of the regular Tuesdaynight Santa Fe Bluegrass Jam and also as part of the Ad Hoc Bluegrass Band that plays Iconik Coffee Roasters every Sunday from 10 a.m. to noon. Also joining the group for the Aug. 12 gig is Texas-based singer/songwriter Amy Ames. There is no cover.
