Got that twang thang: singer Kasey Lans­dale

Coun­try blues singer Kasey Lans­dale plays the Jean Cocteau Cinema (418 Mon­tezuma Ave.), on Satur­day, Aug. 22. The vo­cal­ist and song­writer is a na­tive of Nacog­doches, Texas, where she grew up singing (loudly) to Reba McEn­tire CDs and writ­ing. When she was eight, she wrote a short story that was pub­lished in a col­lec­tion by Ran­dom House. In 2013, Sub­ter­ranean Press pub­lished

Im­pos­si­ble Mon­sters, her first col­lec­tion of hor­ror sto­ries, and Lans­dale re­leased her de­but al­bum, Restless.
