Northern and eastern lights: Music From Angel Fire Music From Angel Fire, which takes place in various venues to the north and east of Santa Fe, begins its 32nd season this week. If you find yourself up yonder, you might check out concerts at the Angel Fire Community Center, the Taos Center for the Arts, Ilfeld Auditorium in Las Vegas, or (a particular treat) the century-old Shuler Theater in Raton. Familiar faces populate the roster along with a striking profusion of Curtis Institute students, for which the festival seems to be increasingly a sort of summer camp. Among the musical highlights are the Opus One ensemble playing Brahms’ G-minor Piano Quartet (on opening night, Friday, Aug. 21, at the Angel Fire Community Center at 7 p.m.) and a new piece by composer-in-residence David Ludwig (on Saturday, Aug. 22, at the Taos Center for the Arts at 7 p.m.). For ticket, venue, and program information, head to www.musicfromangelfire.org or call 575-377-3233 or 888-377-3300. The season runs through Sept. 6. — James M. Keller
