Blue Rooster, one of Santa Fe’s livelier venues for dancing, drinking, and socializing, hosts Black Label, a club night featuring the Sugar Girl Squad on Saturday, Sept. 19. The Sugar Girl Squad is the duo of dance-song singer and DJ Ultra Naté and East Coast DJ Lisa Moody who together throw popular club parties from Baltimore to Ibiza, San Francisco to Moscow. Black Label is promoted by local nightlife legends DJ Oona and Van Roy, who used to throw similar events at the old Paramount dance club. Black Label is presented to honor the legacy of Frankie Knuckles, known as the godfather of house music. He lived in Chicago but performed in Santa Fe many times before his death in 2014. Blue Rooster is located at 101 W. Marcy St, 505-690-5217. Music starts at 9 p.m.; admission is $10 before 10 p.m. and $15 after. — Jennifer Levin
