the Santa Fe In­de­pen­dent Film Fes­ti­val re­turns for a sev­enth year with a host of new fea­tures in­clud­ing dra­mas, thrillers, doc­u­men­taries, and comedies, as well as short films, panel dis­cus­sions, par­ties, and more. The films screen be­gin­ning Wed­nes­day, Oct. 14, with The Ad­der­all Di­aries at the Vi­o­let Crown Cin­ema (1606 Al­caldesa St., 505-216-5678), for a $20 ad­mis­sion that in­cludes en­try to the open­ing night party. Screen­ings con­tinue Thurs­day, Oct. 15, through Sun­day, Oct. 18, at five venues: Vi­o­let Crown Cin­ema, the Len­sic Per­form­ing Arts Cen­ter (211 W. San Fran­cisco St., 505-988-1234), the Cen­ter for Con­tem­po­rary Arts (1050 Old Pe­cos Trail, 505-982-1338), The Screen (1600 St. Michael’s Drive, 505-473-6494), and the Jean Cocteau Cin­ema (418 Mon­tezuma Ave., 505-466-5528). Tick­ets range from $10 to $30 depend­ing on the screen­ing. All-ac­cess fes­ti­val passes can be pur­chased for $250 and in­clude en­try to all films, pan­els, and af­ter-par­ties.
