Owned and op­er­ated by the pit masters who cre­ated the now-de­funct Josh’s BBQ, the Ranch House spe­cial­izes in smoke­house fa­vorites like baby back ribs, chicken, pulled pork, and sausage. There’s a con­sis­tency prob­lem with the meats, though. The pork ribs were nearly per­fect on one oc­ca­sion and un­ac­cept­ably dry on an­other. En­trees come with a va­ri­ety of pic­nic-style side dishes that are re­li­ably good. Rec­om­mended: smoked green chile queso, sweet potato fries, potato salad, and choco­late peanut but­ter mousse.
