(or stay up late) and commune with our planetary neighbors, Venus and Mars, now waltzing just below Jupiter in the east. They’re together in Libra, the sign of romance, art, and social justice, and they ask us to create beauty wherever we go.

Although this is generally a focused and hard-working month, with the sun and Mercury in intense and scrappy Scorpio, we can feel a more idealistic undercurrent seep in this week and remind us that friendships can blossom and small groups of dedicated people can make a difference.

Venus and Mars together can heat up both our romantic thoughts and our personal expectations. But with Mercury now in Scorpio, it’s tricky to express our vulnerability. We may expect another person to make the overture while they wait for us, and both can be disappointed. Be direct and considerate, because that Scorpio also can make us unusually passive-aggressive if we feel disrespected.

The weekend begins under a friendly, outspoken Sagittarius moon. Let’s laugh more and work less, or take the work outside and refill our wells so our health stays strong in this industrious month. Early next week we can feel some tension between our work and our need to socialize, between pragmatism and beauty. Let’s just watch that we don’t take the stress out on one another.

FRIDAY, NOV. 13: The mood can seem deceptively simple, but we’re working on so many levels. Frank and confident honesty clarifies some misperceptions, but do not tell secrets; trust is paramount. Enjoy a friendly camaraderie.

SATURDAY, NOV. 14: Overwork may catch up with us; notice where we’re overextended and unwind to recharge. More than rest, we need to play. Tonight we may get more serious, but the evening may be enjoyable if we prioritize experience and not perfection.

SUNDAY, NOV. 15: Talk about upcoming plans, whether for the holidays or for life as we know it under this intelligent, organized Capricorn moon. Communication can snag with our dear ones; listen and practice great relationship skills, which will actually save time in the long run.

MONDAY, NOV. 16: The mood is a bit grim and focused, but with an underlying friendly vibe. We’re driven by our goals and called to work together; organize and team-build simultaneously. If people have a slightly frantic look in their eyes, do not dismiss their tension; find out what’s pressing on them and address concerns.

TUESDAY, NOV. 17: Our thoughts translate into action easily as a congenial Aquarius moon trines Venus and Mars. The day brings politically savvy but interpersonally awkward moments, as if we can see far away but not up close. Watch a tendency to use charm to manipulate for personal gains.

WEDNESDAY, NOV. 18: Some illusion or uncertainty begins to clear up as Neptune turns direct, but watch for stalling storm systems and philosophies. We may find it unusually challenging to walk our talk and tempting to take shortcuts, but integrity brings rewards.

THURSDAY, NOV. 19: Pay attention to dreams today as the moon enters intuitive Pisces. We may feel too sensitive to deal with anything else but our art supplies. Radical acts of kindness and compassion need to be our art form.
