Greg Brown, who plays Santa Fe on Friday, Feb. 26, isn’t just a veteran folk musician. He is a renowned composer who tells musical stories that can be wild, funny, and deeply perceptive. After high school, he played guitar and sang at a folk club in New York, but he returned to Iowa to forge his career and has recorded about two dozen albums since his 1980 solo debut, 44 & 66. His concert begins at 7:30 p.m. in St. Francis Auditorium (New Mexico Museum of Art, 107 W. Palace Ave.; 505- 476-5072). Tickets are $29-$59 at www. brownpapertick
