Jake Shimabukuro is a ukulele player’s ukulele player. The Honolulu-born mu­si­cian calls his main squeeze “the un­der­dog of all in­stru­ments” in a clip of his “Bo­hemian Rhap­sody” cover on YouTube, adding, “I be­lieve that if ev­ery­one played the ukulele, the world would be a much hap­pier place.” His won­der­fully sen­si­tive but pow­er­fully en­er­getic cover of “While My Gui­tar Gen­tly Weeps” went vi­ral on YouTube sev­eral years ago. Shimabukuro, who also cov­ers tunes by Schu­bert, Leonard Co­hen, and Harold Arlen, plays tra­di­tional Hawai­ian songs, too, as well as orig­i­nal com­po­si­tions. Live in
